Dwella Privacy Policy
Effective 6 October 2026
Dwella is a home-management app for iPhone. It is built so that your information stays on your iPhone. This policy explains what Dwella handles, where it goes and the choices you have.
The short version
- Dwella has no accounts, no servers and no advertising.
- Dwella does not collect, sell or share your personal information, and does not track you across apps or websites.
- Everything you enter is stored on your iPhone. The developer cannot see it.
- Some features use Apple services (such as Apple Maps) when you ask them to. Apple handles that information under its own privacy policy.
Information you add
Dwella stores the information you choose to enter, including properties and addresses, rooms, projects, tasks, upkeep schedules, spending, quotes, tradies and their contact details, warranties, materials, photos and documents. This information is saved only on your iPhone, inside Dwella's storage and the shared storage used by Dwella's widget. It is not sent to the developer or to any third party by Dwella.
Permissions
Dwella asks for permission only when you use a feature that needs it. You can change these permissions at any time in the iPhone Settings app.
- Camera: to take progress photos when you choose to.
- Photos: to add photos you select, and to save a photo to your library when you choose Save Image from the share sheet.
- Calendars: to add, update and remove the project, task and upkeep events you choose to export, in the calendar you choose.
- Location (while using the app): only when you ask to find tradies near your current location instead of near your property.
- Notifications: to remind you about upkeep, tasks, warranties and tradie licence or insurance dates. Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone.
Apple services
When you check an address or search for nearby tradies, Dwella sends the address, search text and, if you choose, your current location to Apple Maps to get results. Dwella does not keep a copy elsewhere. Apple processes these requests under the Apple Privacy Policy.
Events you export to Apple Calendar, and any device backups you have turned on, are managed by Apple (or by the computer you back up to) under your own settings. Depending on those settings, parts of your Dwella data may be included in iCloud or computer backups of your iPhone.
Sharing and exports
Dwella shares information only when you do it yourself, for example by sharing a photo, a document, a project export or a Renovation Passport PDF through the share sheet. You decide what is included and who receives it.
Siri, Shortcuts and widgets
Shortcuts and the Dwella widget read your Dwella data on your iPhone to show or update your projects. This information is not sent to the developer.
Keeping or deleting your information
Your information stays on your iPhone until you delete it. You can delete individual records in the app, delete a property and everything in it from Property settings, or delete the Dwella app to remove its data from your iPhone. Copies you have exported, shared or saved to your calendar or backups are not removed by Dwella and must be deleted where they are stored.
Support form on this website
If you contact us using the support form, the name, email address and message you enter are sent to the developer by email so we can reply. They are not used for marketing, are not shared with anyone else, and are deleted when no longer needed to help you. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes the request to deliver the page and your message. This website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking.
Children
Dwella is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
